As I mentioned before, the bit before, where he literally says “only I am allowed to kill you” in addition to Cersei mentioning Brann twice independently and all the exposition around what Brann wants (and being denied what he wants by Jaime explicitly) suggests to me something bigger is afoot.

I don’t entirely disagree with you, I just have had the feeling that Jaime is at real peril with Cersei right now and Brann would be the most likely assassin.
