Thanks for your response, I explicitly acknowledged your point in the piece when I noted the characters were not “forever dead” and that it would all be sorted out in the next movie.
Not meaning to be nit-picky, the supposedly random nature of the supposed culling was kind of the point of the entire article (kind of like Dr. Lecter explaining that Buffalo Bill’s victims seemed “desperately random”). I was calling out the Marvel randomizer.
To clarify, I was really just saying it sucks for the 10-year old kid who just started loving Black Panther, maybe because it was the first-time he saw a Black Superhero who was the star of a major movie.
Even if we totally understand the game it doesn’t mean that kid does.
That said, I certainly understand your perspective.
