So, just checking. Despite displaying that he was so checked out on the inside details that he kept backing Health Care deals that did zero percent of what he promised, he has now after total Senate failure, magically found a way to reduce premiums 40–60% while also protecting preexisting conditions hugely?
Pardon my cynical disbelief, but were they holding these magic bullets for a rainy day? Color me extremely skeptical.
Also, the real problem to date has been selling the entire GOP bill through conflation of the Medicaid expansion with Obamacare premiums (when the two have nothing to do with each other). This shell game was intended as political cover for using the funds that had been used for Medicaid expansion tax reform aka tax cuts for the rich (which also have donut to do with reducing premiums).
How about they try just being honest, fixing the problems with the exchange side of Obamacare and give up the “Eat The Poor” part of the AHCA (cutting the Medicaid expansion)?
You know, do what’s best for the people who need care the most?
