Today’s Wolverine Football News
Well, thank goodness today wasn’t as…eventful as yesterday, but still some interesting news today.
Statistic Of The Day
Holy Moly, given the history and the quality of some of the defenses and returners, that is pretty amazing.
Very cool that Mr. Hallett dug that up (apparently it took lots of work):
In other news about the Defense part of what could be making, for instance, the secondary even more impressive than expected is former players helping the new players out on a regular basis. If you follow former Wolverine and current Cowboy Jourdan Lewis on Twitter you know he stays very connected to Michigan and it turns out he has also really helped with David Long’s progress (talking to him up to five times a week).
Finally, remember yesterday when Rashan Gary said the defense had barely scratched the surface of its potential? Well, today Mike McCray agreed.
What Will Michigan Do About The Loss Of Tarik Black?
Okay, first take is from Grant Perry who says the answer is to “Trust The Process” (Not surprisingly, he says he is willing to take more reps himself).
There are a number of options at receiver to step into the void left by Tarik, I think we all got a pretty good idea of what Donovan Peoples Jones is capable of:
And, just in case that doesn’t work, there are a few other good options including Eddie McDoom (the man with the best football name ever).
Reminders:
And of course, coming up at 4 pm Saturday Afternoon:
Have a great day and Go Blue!
