If by speeding forward you mean against most of the carefully constructed logic and in ignorance of decades of meticulous plotting, I agree. In my recap this week I discussed the absurdist strategic blunders of Tyrion and Olenna against the magical ability of Euron to virtually time travel from place to place with his magically constructed 1000 ship armada.

I think it is safe to say that “The Queen’s Justice” was one of my least favorite episodes of Game of Thrones ever (and that is saying something). When Benioff and Weiss get it right, they really get it right and when they get it wrong, it is painful to watch.

If you can explain how the Tyrell’s went from being part of the plan to assault Kings Landing to quietly ensconced at Highgarden in less time than it took Euron to destroy the original Iron Fleet (and the military forces of Dorne), get back to King’s Landing, and then all the way to Casterly Rock in time to prevent the Unsullied from departing…I will give you a cookie.
