I guess nobody cares that much but incarcerated and formerly incarcerated people support DA Krasner too, not just because we want “leniency” but b/c there are about 1000 problems with sentencing fairness, prosecutorial abuse, plea bargaining, the lack of funded public defenders, and incredibly credible and peer-reviewed evidence that prisons and jails don’t increase public safety (even accounting for removal).

I do want to thank you for mentioning cycles of abuse, it is true that a large-percentage of the perpetrators of violent crimes were also once victims. So-called “victims rights” organizations often argue this to be a myth, but the peer-reviewed research disagrees with them (there are great organizations who service victims of crime…and there are organizations who politicize and traffic in attempting to infect the constitutional fair trial process to further tilt the process away from fairness, I am referring to the latter).
