FYI, there are a TON of people starting with a guy named Mark Osler who have been working to get POTUS to expand the clemency process. In fact, Kim Kardashian took a team of experts on this topic including Mr. Osler, Shon Hopwood (formerly incarcerated Professor at Georgetown Law), and former judge Kevin H. Sharp to talk with the White House not just about single cases but about creating a broader process of clemencies and pardons.
So, while we have not seen the results of this effort yet, Kim K has actually been working to help Christopher, even if it does not seem apparent.
He should also contact the Can-Do foundation, who pleads on behalf of people in certain circumstances (generally non-violent drug offences).
Finally, if you didn’t see it, Christopher’s story was featured on Professor Doug Berman’s popular law blog today.
