Ed Sheeran, Why Does Anyone Care About This Game Of Thrones Cameo Again?
So, during the Game of Thrones Season 7 premiere, there was a ton of real drama.
Just in my recap of the Dragonstone episode, I discussed that Sam might be able to cure Greyscale with Dragonglass (and that Ser Friend Zone is at the Citadel), that Sansa and Jon might be headed for splitsville, that Arya wants to take down Cersei solo voce, that Euron is bringing the Dragon Horn to Cersei, and that Cersei might try to eliminate Jaime.
There are lots of real issues to discuss, I am sure other recaps raised even more issues, and the battle lines are bring drawn.
So why does anyone give two damns that Ed Sheeran showed up for about 2 minutes of screen time as a troubadour? We even have the Director of the flipping episode chiming in about this? Sheeran deleting his Twitter? This has to be a joke. He wasn’t on screen long enough to be offensive? He said like three words.
Even the debate over Sansa’s hairstyle being like Cersei’s foreshadowing a split in house Stark makes more sense to me than this Sheeran nonsense. Sounds like some bizarre marketing campaign concocted in the labs at music industry central to me.
And yes, I get that discussing of this stupidity probably feeds the beast, I just can’t believe my feed is full of Ed Sheeran posts (100% guaranteed that has never happened before).
